The horror story that shocked Austria first came to light when Josef Fritzl (above) was forced to take seriously ill Kerstin out of the basement to seek treatment at the local hospital on April 19.

He told the doctors that the 19 year old had been dumped on his footstep by his long-lost daughter Elisabeth, who left a note asking for help.

As the doctors could not determine the cause of the teenager’s illness, they asked for her mother to come forward to provide a medical history.

That was when Fritzl allowed his daughter and her two other children aged 18 and five to leave their underground room for the first time.

He made up a story that his missing daughter had finally chosen to return home.

According to the DNA test, it later reveals that Fritzl was not only the grandfather of Kerstin but also her father.

Police yesterday said that the 73 year old had confessed to holding his daughter captive for 24 years and seven children fathering by her.

Apart from Elisabeth, now 42, Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie have six other children.

During questioning and answered by the police that she have no further contact with her father, Elisabeth gave details of her ordeal which began in 1984 when she was 18.

That was when, she said, her father lured her into the basement of the block where they lived and drugged and handcuffed her before imprisoning her. She had been raped repeatedly by her father from the age of 11.

To cover his daughter disappearance, Fritzl told his wife that she had run away to join a cult and did not want to be found.

During her captivity, Elisabeth gave birth to seven children. One of them, a twin baby born in 1996, died a few days later. Her father took it away and burned it. The two oldest children have been locked up since birth and had never seen sunlight.

The daughter and three of the children lived in the 60 square meter (645 sq ft) cellar in Fritzl's nondescript two-storey home that officials said was no more than 1.7 meters (5 ft 6 in) high and contained a padded cell.

A leading question was how what went on in the house, situated in a busy street with shops in the small industrial town of Amstetten, passed unnoticed for so long, particularly as Fritzl built extensions to the cellar.

BOO! Yesterday went for tuition, after that went down ABC market there to find xp. Decided to go and sing Kbox at chinatown till midnight. Took cab home, bathed then off to bed for my sleep. Woke up early in the morning because i'm meeting s to buy arts stuff. Took bus 61 with s to go to ax's dad shop and buy spray paint. After that s suggested we go to bukit timah plaza's popular to buy art paper but their paper material is so lousy. So we went walking around the shopping centre. Went NTUC to buy water ballon for art then ate kfc.

Wz came down to find me and they two seems to bully me alright. LAME SHIT LAH YOU TWO! Bus-ed down to taka to buy arts stuff. Walked around for hours and we only bought canvas paper. Went to walk around and saw a art gallery, those artwork are fabulous! and indeed expensive. If i have the money, i would buy those artwork. TOO BAD I'M A POOR GIRL :( S left, then wz and i bus-ed down to great world city and watch "The Leap Years". So embarrassing because i cried two times! Lucky wz didnt see me cry.
